To make a long story short, my old computer got fried. Yes I lost everything I had on that machine, stories, fanart, sprite sheets, everything I had. And it'll be around another 2 weeks before I can fully come back and talk to you guys. So with this short status update, here are my evaluations of the F-Zero characters, those of whom I think will make great lead characters.

Good Guys.

-Captain Falcon: F-Zero without the Captain is like night without day, it would be wrong. *looks at maximum velocity* Its very clear He has been the main character ever since the series was first made. He has multiple rivals ranging from minor to main, friendly to deadly. And he is still one of the more mysterious Characters. Nothing is known about his past, but it is mentioned in X that he was once evil and currently storyline wise he is a reluctant hero, he doesn't want to do good deeds he just ends up doing so or his consence gets to him. pretty much he rather focus on the prize of the chase rather then help out a random person here or there. Hopefully in the future more light is shed on this bounty hunter and his past as future F-Zero titles come out. His alter ego, Ber Ser Ker(a assassin that worked for Don genie in the anime) just very well become canon in the near future.

-Jody Summer: Yes, Jody Summer yes I know to most people Jody is a rather boring character, but she does have a very strong fanbase with this series and is the more popular out of the 2 starter newcomers we got to know in X(sorry Mighty Gazelle). Jody is like the Jill Valentine or Samus Aran(who she is actually based off of) of this series. The strong willed female, willing to put herself in harms way to accomplish her goal. Now many put her as the Captain's girlfriend but nothing has really been mentioned and is mostly just fan's imaginations running wild. But the Captain just very well may have a connection to Jody, not through her directly but to her father that died. Remember the Captain was once an evil man in his lifetime and Jody's father was killed in a "accident" under mysterious circumstances. Maybe Mr. Summer found out something he wasn't suppose to know and the Captain back then was hired to do some dirty work.

-Princia Ramode: Probably the best female overall in the series, she has her own original style that is rather unique to the series and her Arabian nature was a rather fresh breath of air for F-Zero to have. Now I see Princia as the Claire Redfield of F-Zero, the young woman is rather unexperienced when she places herself in dangerous situations, but over time matures and with the help of running into much more experienced veterans, is able to stand her ground herself and handle the situations more calmly. Since she was also the very first AX character to be revealed, and is one of 2 new main characters introduced in GX/AX(the other being Phoenix)that have some kindof connection to the Captain(both of whom were promoted alot along side Falcon), what these connections are is what waits to been seen. She also have have a connection, with Black Shadow as well, now this is just a theory, but the characters machines are also a representation of the characters themselves, both Princia's and Black Shadow's machine have strong armor ratings and Grip ratings but both machines have a real high drift level in thier cornering, look at the Black Shadow section for more info on my theory.

-Phoenix: Ahh, many call Phoenix an updated Falcon, thats very well what he could be. Both of them have the names of birds, both character's machines resemble birds, and they definitaley look alike. My theory here is that Phoenix is the son of the Captain from the future. Remember although Phoenix claims to be from the 29th century, the Time Patrol recruites from all era's if the person shows the strong will to handle the time jump. I see Phoenix as the Trunks(if you watch DBZ then you know what I'm talking about) of F-Zero, coming back in time to keep a horrible event from changing the Universe. That one person that could be responsible is Deathborn, who is wanted by the Galactic Space Police(which Phoenix works for), Phoenix claims to be chasing a supervillian that can manipulate time and Deathborn is the only villain capable of that feat. However, unlike Falcon, remember folks in F-Zero Captain Falcon has no super abilities but is very well known for his athletics and his will to finish the hunt for the bounty he's chasing after. Phoenix seems to have the ability to fly, and possibly others that we can't see. How Phoenix got these abilities is a mystery, more needs to be said on this character as well. His rivalry with Deathborn and him being one of 2 main characters AX/GX introduced solidify his place on the roster.

-Rick Wheeler(Aka Ryu Suzaku): Yes I believe, that he should become a part of the canon series. His character design was good, his machine design was as well, his personality was spot on, a more human lead male character is what F-Zero needs. Overall he was a great design that came from the anime. IMO Rick could easily be a lead character(not the lead) but a more relatable one, when compared to the the Mysterious Captain Falcon. His personality should be expanded into the canon series, and the rest of the anime original characters should follow with him as well. I belive he can work out just fine.

The Bad Guys.

-Samurai Goroh: well he's technically not a villain but he's fair from a saint. He is the 2nd most popular character out of the original 4 and still has a very devote cult following in the series. However lately he's seemed to have become some sort of Jobber, due to the fact he's portrayed as dumb slob in the games who Falcon doesn't even consider a threat. This is just wrong, I hate you Sega! What needs to happen is a combination of both the Canon Goroh and the anime Goroh. Him having an honorable side is fine but they must keep some of his bad traits he has in the canon series. Remember a calm Samurai is not Goroh he's only half Japanese, he's also got the loud mouth of an American that sometimes earns him more trouble then benefit. Plus with his son and wife involved in the GP should make for more interesting confrontations and his rivalry with Guster should help keep this badass Samurai afloat for a new generation of fans.

-Blood Falcon: I can easily see Blood Falcon as a main bad guy, not only due to the fact he's Captain falcon's clone but he has the potential to be more then just a psychotic clone. He could be a being thats wanting to become a unique being with no original templete existing. Plus Blood Falcon's vampiric nature also earns him some originality and gives him a clear edge over his original being. And maybe one day he could shift from being a villain to more of an anti-hero as the series continoues.

-Don Genie: Whats not to like about Don? He's Rich, he's evil, he's fat, he's got one hell of an personality and look. A combination of Heihachi and Kingpin design wise, this mountain of a man, is also buisness partners with the King of Evil Black Shadow storyline wise. And since Don's goal is to purchase the F-Zero, how this could benefit the partnership between Shadow and him is questiuonable but I could hear the return of the Death Race, something Don found amusing about the sport of F-Zero. Plus with how he looks down on other beings in disgust and the fact the Federation just can't seem to keep him off the streets just adds that much more of a cool factor to this behemoth of a man.

-Black Shadow: The main villain character of F-Zero, design wise he looks like Darkseid comebined with Batman, but with a much cooler aura and a bad temper, hidden underneath his gigantic muscular frame. How I see Black Shadow is that he is the Darth Vader of this series, though he maybe outranked by one person, he is the more popular of the two and is much more directly involved with the series's storyline and characters much more then Deathborn. Black Shadow doesn't stop to punish the fools who dare to cross him and what he wants to accomplish in fact in a interveiw question in GX, Black Shadow calls Captain Falcon a coward for not facing him in a fight and calls the Galactic Federation pathetic and that he'll just wipe the floor with them. Black Shadow is not only one bad mofo, but he has a certain charm with him as well. Black Shadow is a multi talented man(or demon), him being a master of Black Magic and having the skills of highly ranked scientist in the areas of genetics(remember he created Blood Falcon himself) and machinery(he was also commanding every single part that went into the Black Bull). Plus like Vader Black Shadow could have a small part of him that is human still. Black Shadow was once a man, storyline wise that sold his soul to the dark side to become what you see now, but who is he when the mask is off? Like I said in a previous entry, Black Shadow and Princia may have a connection due to the fact of similar prefomances in their machines. Remember, Black Shadow is also a very rich man, one with access to very advanced technology, and he is a physical speciman of a man. Planet Magica, is a planet with very advanced scientific technology, is ruled by a very wealthy royal family and the royal family is own to be some of the best shaped humans known. Could Black Shadow in actuality be King Ramode of Magica? More light needs to be shed, but that my theory.

-Deathborn: The top bad guy, though not the main, he's not to far behind Black Shadow. Plus with Deathborn's Grand Plan of bring down the entire cosmos is a very strong point of his main status. Also his connection with Phoenix and the Time patrol Deathborn is a very hated being and feared as well. Plus there is another positive going for Deathborn. It's actually rumored that Deathborn is in actuality the Voodoo Chieftan Jay Gonzo Snakey, the man who let Black Shadow get access to all his powers. Now in the current timeline Snakey is dead, after Falcon captured him and he was sent to prison he was killed during a prison riot. Remember Deathborn has died multiple times and that could serve as on of he's many deaths. And since Black Shadow has the ability to return to life after death, who to say Snakey didn't have this same ability either? Snakey after his 3rd death could have been revived in the 29th century and decided to dawn himself with a new name since no even death could stop him and since he suffered death many times, he's power was able to grow and got the ability to travel back into the past. Deathborn now travels back to the past to execute a plan that would allow him to rewrite history forever. Now I see a relationship much like Darth Vader and the Emperor had in Star Wars, could work between Black Shadow and Deathborn, not the other being frightened by the other.
